Pleasant place to buy some local craft, plants or have a catch up with friends.
I like coming here especially for the little markets but I noticed on my last visit that shops are closing due to increased rents and there's new building going on which seems a bit out of character. Hope it's not going to be spoilt.
Been here the last two christmases to see Father Christmas. Its a lovely experience, the elves this time were much more friendlier with the children that Father Christmas.
My first visit, I loved it. Staff helpful and friendly and shops all gorgeous, lovely clothes, gifts and Christmas decorations galore. Well worth it.
Hatton Shopping Village is a great place for shopping for unusual items and also for a family activity day out. There is a tearoom adjacent to a homeware franchise, a separate restaurant, Edinburgh Woollen Mill shop, shoe shop, garden centre and sever other independent shops. There are several special weekend events scheduled in the run up to Christmas. These are usually really good. Note: At the present time, there is some redevelopment and building work being carried out.
