Lovely NT. Deer free roam on the estate which the kids thought were wonderful. Great little cafe. Lacking in play area but still great for walks.
Wonderful house with great kitchens and brew house. Family still live here . Grounds are beautiful too, very close to river. Nice for families. Car park big and well organized.Big second hand bookshop too. Great day out and scenic part of the country
Lovely park. Gate house and the house stunning. House closed at this time of year. Orangery open for teas and coffees until 4.00. Wonderful to see the fallow deer and Jacob sheep roaming free.National trust property so make sure you carry your membership cards if planning on visiting the area. Well worth a visit. Car park near by to entrance.
Had a nice leisurely wander around the deer park and lake. It was nice to see loads of deer and the sheep were all colourful too. The paths were well-defined and not too muddy despite it having rained yesterday. Took a necessary rest in the cafe where service was good and suitably naughty selection of cakes.
A lovely National Trust location to visit. Beautiful grounds and a fascinating house to explore too. The cafe and food is wonderfully delicious. Especially welcomed on a very cold winters day. Enjoy.
