Fantastic stay in the Knights Village. Lodge was very cold when we first arrived, but we cranked the thermostat up, went and had our evening meal, then came back to a nice toastie room. Bed was very comfortable - chalet could have slept up to 5 people. Immaculately clean....would stay here again.
Really good, well worth a visit. Good for kids with this kind if interest. A couple of good shows and interactive things for kids. Mostly suited to a good look round, but there are things to do.
The dungeons were gruesome, funny and very informative - great actors! Falconry display is well presented with some very interesting species, not your average show! Grounds are well kept. Lots of narrow passageways and stone staircases, if you want to go to the top of towers. Parking can be a task, so try to arrive a little earlier on busy days.
I booked an overnight stay in a woodland lodge for my Husband and I.The booking included a 2 day pass into Warwick Castle which was useful as check in wasn't until 4pm so we spent a day at the castle before checking into the village later that day.Parking is also included in the cost of the booking, breakfast is also included in the cost of the stay. The bays for parking are very close to the Knights Village so you don't have far to walk with luggage.Check in was easy and the staff went out of their way to make you feel welcome. The wooden lodges are super fancy ! So well themed but also done in a very tasteful way.We stayed in January and it was lovely and warm inside, we did take extra bedding as we were a little worried we may get cold but honestly it was quite cosy. The evening meal was an extra cost but well worth the money, again the staff were polite and professional, the atmosphere was great. The food tasted amazing, we both loved it.Soft drinks were included in the cost of the meal and they were refillable.Warwick Warriors did a sword fight show that lasted around half an hour, after that the 2 guys were more than happy to have photos taken with the guests as well as interacting. After a great nights sleep we had our breakfast in the banqueting hall and again the food was delicious.Such a great experience, were keen to go back.My only disappointment was the lack of activity at the castle, it was a bit of a ghost town but I guess this time of year I should expect it, but the positive side of the empty castle is that you don't feel that you need to rush through the rooms and you get to have a good look.I would highly recommend the whole experience
What a castle! We love the bird show, the night show and the archery. I even managed to drag them all up the huge tower to see the whole of Warwick. Everything is thought out well here and there is something for everyone! My eldest daughter loved the gruesome death tour where our tour guide was really knowledgeable and friendly! He was prepared to answer questions and always had the answer! My youngest daughter loved the knight show and bird show. Also, dressing up as a princess!I have given it four stars because of the toilet queues and the price of everything. Although it is a really good day out, it is costly for the whole family to go.Everything is themed really well and worth going on a special day.
